Highfield Park Residents' Association

left_column05

The Highfield Park Residents’ Association (HPRA) was formed in July 2004 to safeguard the interests of residents in the immediate vicinity of Highfield Park, St Albans, to pursue matters of communal interest and bring together residents as a community.   Highfield Park is an estate that exists on and around two former NHS sites in St. Albans, Hertfordshire, UK.

Volunteers, on a not-for-profit basis, run the Association.  Funds are needed for the association if it is to operate effectively and to cover its costs.

HAVE YOUR SAY ON ISSUES THAT AFFECT YOU!!

On Tuesday 15 September 2009 at 7pm there will be a special meeting at Charles Morris Hall, Tyttenhanger to discuss the proposals set out in the local development framework document (LDF) and all local people are able to attend and have their say in the future of the local area.  The LDF is a set of planning  documents which guide the direction of planning policy for the district until 2026.

This consultation on the LDF allows you to give your view on issues that affect you such as the

Green Belt development, housing numbers, housing development, hotels, shops, housing needs, leisure, youth provision and other  vital topics.  For example housing development near Oaklands College, housing development in fields around Smallford and hotel and employment development are 3 of the proposals being made in the document.

This will be the last chance to  have our say before 2026 so please come along and put your views across.
